Touch Module Information

The Parklands United Sports Club welcomes your Touch team entry for the 2008/2009 social competition at Parklands Reserve.

GRADES AVAILABLE

A Mixed Adult Grade with the maximum number of males allowed on the field is four and the minimum is one. Players must be 13 years of age or over.

COMPETITION GRADES

The first two weeks will be grading games to determine the teams to play in each section.

DATES OF THE COMPETITION

The competition will be played on Friday nights, commencing 17 October 2008 until 12 December 2008, resuming after Christmas on 16 January 2009 and finishing the season in the middle to end of March 2009. Games will not be played on 12 November (Show Day) or 6 February (Waitangi Day). Please note there will be games on 24 October (Labour Weekend).

FEES

Team fees are due on team registration and must be paid by the second night of grading games. The Club reserves the right to exclude any team that has not paid by 24 October. The fee this year is $300.00 (Three Hundred Dollars) per team with a refund of $30.00 should your team have NO defaults in the season.

REGISTRATIONS

Please write all of your team members' names on the registration form. You are entitled to register 14 players. If some players leave during the season or you don't have 14 players to begin with, then you can register new players during the season.

TEAM UNIFORMS

All players must play in the same coloured tops. Each top must be numbered on either the back or the sleeves as this assists the referee. Players are encouraged to wear proper touch shoes to reduce the risk of injury and increase enjoyment of the game.

OFFICIAL RESULTS

All official results up to the previous week will be available in the Clubrooms on the notice board each week.

REFEREES

Parklands United Sports Club is making a determined effort to ensure all games have one if not two referees who have been trained. Whilst the Club will attempt to find and train referees, you are required to produce one player who is willing and able to referee when called on. If any of your players are interested in learning to referee, please let us know now as we have resources to take this further. All referees will receive a free bar meal and drink each Friday night after they have refereed. Please indicate on your registration form those willing to take on this task as referee for your team.

CLUBROOMS

The Clubrooms will be open every Friday night for the teams to socialise after playing. Please notify the coordinators of your player of the day on completion of your game and collect a bar voucher for the player of the day.

END OF SEASON FINALS

Semi finals will be played in each Division - 1st plays 4th and 2nd plays 3rd

The winners of these two games will play in the final on the last night of the season. There will be friendly games for all other teams on both nights.
